TV and Feature Writing Partners
CASSIUS + Q are Louis Clement + Adam Davies, two friends who have known each other since the days when Friday nights were spent grabbing stacks of movies in Blockbuster to gorge on over the weekend.
As a writing partnership, they complement each other nicely: Adam, analytical, focused on structure and tempo; Louis, instinctive, reaching for the emotional core.
They are interested in writing the kind of drama they like to watch - intelligent, gripping, dark, full of black humour and flawed, believable characters with self-awareness and depth.
CASSIUS (Louis) comes from pretty decent screenwriting stock: his Dad is Dick Clement, co-creator of Porridge, The Likely Lads and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. After cutting his teeth as a contributor and later script editor on sketch shows, followed by two years as a development exec at Pearson Television, Louis sidestepped into advertising. He co-founded a digital agency, Skive, and has spent the last twenty years as a Creative Director, crafting award-winning storytelling for a broad range of household international brands.
Q (Adam) the son of an avid cinephile (with liberal thoughts on age-rating systems), Adam’s favourite film at age 9 was Barry Lyndon. Betraying his inner calling, Adam embraced his father’s career as a restaurateur, opening sites across London - most notably, Circus in Covent Garden, which helped scratch his creative itch with its theatrical experiences and stage shows. But a love of film and TV always gnawed away at Adam, so he finally sucumbed and put himself through New York Film Academy.
